 Our
cabana is located on the Caribbean island of Roatan,
Honduras. Roatan is an English and Spanish-speaking island,
about three miles wide by forty miles long. The island has
its own airport, which accommodates international flights.
Direct flights from Canada are just over four hours (from
Toronto) and about two hours from southern US locales.
The
beach house is nestled within a small condominium style
community called SUNDANCER. It is one of a collection of
traditional island style homes called cabanas.

Our
cabana is BEACHFRONT with a spacious screened-in
verandah to maximize your outdoor enjoyment.
(of course
there are some bugs, after all, it’s the tropics)!!
The
cabana is non-smoking and can comfortably accommodate 4 to 5 persons.
It has 2
bedrooms, each with a comfy double bed, ceiling fan, closet
space and a desklamp. There is also a futon couch in the
living room. There is a three-piece bathroom with shower.
The fully equipped kitchen/living room is open concept, and
French doors open to the verandah for more living space. The
kitchen comes with fridge, stove, microwave, coffee-maker,
toaster and blender. There is a TV/DVD player, so bring all
your favourite movies.

The cabana is
well shaded by mature mango,
palm and seagrape trees. There are gentle ocean breezes and
four ceiling fans to keep you comfortable. We have found
that air conditioning is not necessary for us.
You
will be provided with clean linens and towels upon your
arrival. Laundry and other cleaning during your stay can be
arranged at your expense, through the rental manager on
site.
 There
is a 40 feet by 20 feet community inground swimming pool,
with chairs and loungers, available for your use, at no
charge.
There
is a private pier with thatched roof and sundeck, for quiet
reading, sunbathing and meditation amid the refreshing ocean
breezes. Roatan is uniquely blessed with the most beautiful
coral reef in the Western Hemisphere, very close to its
shores. You will enjoy convenient access to the warm, clear
waters of the Caribbean, and snorkeling on the spectacular
reef is just an easy swim from the Sundancer pier. Needless
to say, scubadiving is very popular, owing to the excellent
condition of the reef and its proximity to shore.

Divers will find every type of diving they can
imagine.
 Land-line
telephones aren’t popular on Roatan, but cellular
is everywhere on the island. Should you feel the
need, a free personal cellphone is available, to be
used during your stay, and it must be returned on
departure. You may purchase airtime at a number of
locations.
Our rental
manager will pick you up at the airport, and return
you to the airport for departure. On the way to the
cabana you will have the option of stopping at a
modern, well-stocked supermarket to buy food and
beverages for your stay. There is no extra charge
for this service.
SUNDANCER PRIVATE PIER
Roatan is an
English and Spanish speaking island, so you will
have no trouble getting around. You may use the
local currency (Limperas) or US dollars. Our rental
manager will assist you with local buses, taxis and
rental vehicles, if you desire.
